My name is Ashly Leavitt. I am an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC) in Utah and have recently joined the clinical team at Sego Group Family Counseling & Wellness. I provide a safe space to help you seek empathy, connection, and power. I help create opportunities of hope and resilience, and I teach you to find and CREATE the joy and peace you are searching for.

I do this by using an integrative approach of Psycho-Spiritual (which reduces stress, pain, hopelessness and anxiety, and increases quality of life), Symbolic-Experiential (which allows for reframing and new understandings of areas for growth), Emotionally Focused Therapy (an approach that values and honors the emotions you’re experiencing, your related needs, and growing confidence and assertiveness in addressing those needs with others), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (which provides opportunities for empowerment by thinking about our thoughts, intentionally giving our brain accurate thoughts to think about, and choosing our behaviors purposefully).

I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Walden University, as noted earlier, am also licensed in Utah as an ACMHC (State License #12868093-6009).

Areas of interest/specialty include:

  • betrayal trauma recovery
  • behavior addiction recovery
  • reconciliation in marriage
  • healing from divorce
  • escaping abuse
  • trauma recovery.

I am also currently pursuing certification as a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist (CCPS) from The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists.
